New Orleans Jazz Fest 2013 Lineup Feat. Phoenix, Frank Ocean

Just yesterday we got the news that French pop gods Phoenix had set a date for their return, and today, we get their first announced US date: at New Orleans Jazz And Heritage Festival.

The Jazz Fest takes place over two weekends this spring — April 26-28 and May 2-5 — and Phoenix will play on Saturday, May 4. If you’re only gonna go to one day of the festival, that’s the one — also playing that day is Frank Ocean. And Fleetwood Mac. Other big-name, ‘Gum-relevant highlights playing other days include Patti Smith, the Black Keys, and Band Of Horses (assuming we don’t have a bunch of Maroon 5 or Billy Joel fans up in here), but there are about 5 million (mostly jazz, funk, and soul) bands playing this thing; I don’t see how the talent alone doesn’t basically double the population of New Orleans during these weekends.
