New Orleans has captured the hearts of many people in the entertainment world, and Nicolas Cage is one of them. Cage owns a renowned and reported haunted mansion in the French Quarter. The Internal Revenue Service has just put a lien on the property for unpaid taxes.

LaLaurie, the name of the 10,300 sq. foot mansion is located at 1140 Royal Street. The mansion stands three stories tall and is painted a purplish-gray. Cage purchased the property in December of 2006.

LaLaurie is currently on the market for $3.55 million. The lien will require Cage to pay off the debts owed to the IRS before the property can be sold. Allegedly, the star owes $6.26 million in taxes owed for 2007 and $$360,545.84 for unpaid income taxes for the years 2002-2004.

Cage also owns a second home in New Orleans located at 2523 Prytania that he purchased in 2005. It is also on the market and priced at $3.45 million.

Cage has starred in Knowing, Ghost Rider and National Treasure: Book of Secrets most recently and numerous other films. He won an Oscar in 1996 for his leading role in Leaving Las Vegas.
